UniFi, managed centrally
We standardize on UniFi gateways, switches and Wi-Fi access points. Client networks are managed from our own hosted UniFi controller, where we run more than 30 client sites, so a change or a firmware update doesn't need a visit.
Networks separated by purpose
Staff, guests, cameras, phones and building systems each get their own network (VLAN). A guest's laptop or a camera can't reach your file server, and a computer taken out of service is parked on an isolated network.
VPNs
- WireGuard on the UniFi gateway for staff working from home or travelling
- OpenVPN CloudConnexa for teams spread across locations
- IPsec site-to-site tunnels between offices
Internet and backup internet
We coordinate with Comcast Business, Verizon and other carriers on new service, outages and moves. Where a second wired line isn't available, a 5G connection keeps the office online if the main line drops.
Cabling
New cabling and network merges between rooms or buildings are done with our licensed electrician partner.
Labelled equipment
We label the routers, switches and modems we manage with a Networking Now label and a QR code that opens our support page. If you see one, call us before unplugging or resetting that device.
Common questions
Does Networking Now install networks and Wi-Fi?
Yes. We design, install and manage UniFi networks: gateways, switches and Wi-Fi access points, with separate networks for staff, guests, cameras and building systems.
I found a Networking Now label on a router or modem. What does it mean?
It means we manage that equipment. Scan the code on the label or call (888) 569-4190 before unplugging, resetting or replacing it, because a reset can take the whole office offline.
